Water slowly percolating through layers of the Canadian Shield and through some of the oldest rock formations in North America slowly acquires a purity and taste unmatched by any other water. This pristine northern environment is still virtually free from pollution and widely known for its abundance of crystal clear springs. Long before explorers began to cross the country, the Kakabeka Falls area was one of rest and refreshment to travelers because of the excellent taste of the water. Today, Kakabeka Crystal continues to carry on that standard by constantly improving the quality of the final product.
Although tapped from a pure and protected underground source, our water undergoes microfiltration at two stages before its final sterilization with ozone. Ozone is a naturally occurring oxygen product that is a powerful sterilizing agent. Ozone also sterilizes water without leaving any residue, in fact; ozone reverts back to oxygen within two hours of the bottling process. This procedure assures that each and every bottle is of the highest quality and surpasses all government requirements, resulting in exceptional quality assurances and a legendary taste. Health and Welfare Canada and the Thunder Bay Health Unit regularly inspect our facilities and products and water samples are independently tested on a weekly basis.
We are also very proud to be Kosher approved. Kakabeka Crystal Spring Water is bottled under the supervision and with the endorsement of the Vaad Hakashruth, Vaad HaíIr of Winnipeg, Manitoba. This certification is an endorsement of our quality control, as well as the approval of our products and processes within the Jewish religion.
